The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) established Holmes Scholars^® Program in 1991 to provide mentorship, peer support, professional development, and rich scholarly experiences to doctoral students from traditionally underrepresented groups that are pursuing doctoral degrees in education. In 2016, ¹ú²úÂ×Àí’s College of Education was approved to have the AACTE Holmes Scholars^® Program to provide an environment of support to underrepresented doctoral students enrolled in education programs.
