Freshman Convocation 2025
The Freshman Convocation welcomes the incoming class of 2029 to 国产伦理.
There will be two convocation ceremonies. *Students, please only attend one convocation ceremony with your college.*
Friday, August 15, 2025, 3pm to 4pm
Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium, Boca Raton Campus
Doors open at 2:15 pm. Please be seated no later than 2:45 pm
Friday, August 15, 2025, 5pm to 6pm

Doors open at 4:15 pm. Please be seated no later than 4:45 pm
Facility Closure: Recreation and Fitness Center
The Recreation and Fitness Center on the Boca Raton campus will be closed July 17 - August 10 for facility upgrades. During this time, members can use the Davie and Jupiter fitness centers as well as the outdoor basketball courts on the Boca Raton campus. Select yoga classes will still be held on the Boca Raton campus Tuesday and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. at the Robin Rubin Center. Dates subject to change.

To the Florida Atlantic community,
The Florida Atlantic Police Department and Department of Emergency Management will host Active Threat Awareness and Training sessions on Friday, Aug. 15, at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and noon, in the Barry Kaye Auditorium (Student Union) on the Boca Raton campus.
No RSVP is required. The sessions are open to all students, faculty and staff.
The awareness and training session provides a foundational overview of active threat incidents, including key trends, terminology and real-world context. It highlights proactive measures Florida Atlantic has implemented to enhance campus safety and preparedness and concludes with practical guidance on individual response options.

Parking & Transportation Notices
2025 Summer Parking Closures Notification
Construction will occur on Parking Garage 3 and Parking Lots 22 and 23 throughout the upcoming summer. Parking Garage 3 will be closed beginning Thursday, May 1, and is expected to re-open by Saturday, Aug. 16. Parking Lot 22 will be closed beginning Saturday, May 3, and is expected to re-open by Saturday, Aug. 9. Parking Lot 23 will be closed beginning May 3 and is expected to re-open by Aug. 16.
Road Closure and Bus Stop Relocation Notification
St. Lucie Avenue will permanently close for regular traffic effective Thursday, May 8, 2025. A new road, St. Lucie Ave. Extension, will open in July 2026 and allow through traffic to East University Drive. In addition, the St. Lucie Ave. South shuttle bus stop has been relocated from Parking Lot 102 to the circle at Parliament Hall. Access to Parking Garage 2 is only available via Arts Ave. A pedestrian safety access sidewalk will be installed from Parking Lot 28 to the Parliament Hall entrance (north of the construction site for Talon Hall). Parking Lot 28 is only accessible via Arts Ave.

Summer 2025 Drug Free Notification
Florida Atlantic is committed to providing a campus environment free from alcohol abuse and the illegal use of alcohol and other drugs. 国产伦理 has adopted and implemented programs that seek to prevent the illicit use of drugs and alcohol abuse by university community members.
国产伦理 distributes a semesterly notification to all students, faculty and staff on policies related to alcohol, other drugs and weapons. It can be found here. This notification contains important and helpful information on the health risks associated with the use of illicit drugs and alcohol abuse, as well as contact information to get help.
